We did it. The technology we started with has been transformed into a solution that benefits a specific user. Our result: A prototype that is a tangible version of our proposed solution and the answer to the task we were given.

Now there are several options for the next steps you can take.

As we already discussed, you can always cycle back to Phase 5 Users and refine the match between user and solution.

Another way to refine your result and create a more sophisticated, market-ready solution is to use your result as the basis for a user-based process. This way, you validate the solution from a user perspective without bias from the technology you should use.

Another option relevant to all stakeholders would be to use your results to source research funds. This way, designers could create a more sophisticated prototype; scientists could further develop the technology behind it, and your client might be able to apply it in the future.

Whatever option you choose make sure to publish your results to discuss them with outsiders and get their unbiased opinion.
